The city of Nain produces rugs normally on a cotton foundation with combinations of wool and silk detail. Similar to other Iranian cities, the quality and craftsmanship of rugs are determined by their knots per square inch (KPSI). However, Nain's are also measured in LA, a Farsi term referring to the thread count in each fringe. They are not only durable for heavy traffic but are easy to maintain and clean.
