My husband and I can't praise Bernie Teklenburg of Beckwith Galleries enough.  His service, knowledge and professionalism were outstanding.  We were looking to buy a new Persian rug for our family room and ended up buying four! 

A Persian  Moud Mashad for our living room, an Indo Gabbeh for the family room and two Gabbeh Irans for our entrance ways. 

We were that impressed with his pricing, which we considered very reasonable.  Bernie also took away two Chinese Silk rugs and our dining room Persian Mashad for repair and a re-dye. The results were amazing and again, very reasonable.

We researched and visited other rug dealers but found the experience daunting. Nothing compared to dealing with Bernie. It was a pleasure working with Bernie; his energy knows no bounds!

We recently purchased a Persian Heriz rug from Bernie. He was very helpful and wonderful to deal with.

He took us through a number of options in his showroom and came by our house to help us make a decision and set up the rug with an underpad.

I’m very pleased and great service with delivery because I wasn’t well. I’m definitely going back to continue furnishing my new apartment with Beckwith Galleries.

Outstanding inventory of high end area rugs. The owner, Bernie Teklenburg is an extremely knowledgeable expert with an eye for design and a process for helping clients find the right carpet.

He did a preselection, presenting me with several options and I took two rugs home to try out. I am very pleased with the result. The rug is beautiful for my space. Delivery and pickup and all service provided was excellent.

It is the second time I purchase a carpet from Bernie at Beckwith Galleries and both times I have been impressed with the quality of the service and the wide variety of carpets.

This last time, I was buying a large 6' x 9' carpet for the living room space and Bernie generously allowed me to try it out in the space first.

It makes such a difference in making a expensive purchase to be able to see what it will actually look like at home. I would not have originally picked that carpet but it turned out to match and fit perfectly!

Beckwith Galleries had such an amazing collection of beautiful rugs, it was a bit overwhelming. I brought a photo to show Bernie my décor to provide a visual of what I preferred.

A week later, Bernie arrived with a few rugs to choose from, but one stood out and matched my décor - and my preferences - perfectly. I am beyond pleased. The rug I selected is gorgeous and suits my condo to a T!!

We recently decided to replace our living carpet. After a number of less than satisfactory visits with retailers in Ottawa we made an appointment with Beckwith Gallery. I sent a few photos of our living room into Bernie in advance of our meeting.

I was introduced to Beckwith Galleries and Mr. Bernie Teklenburg by a friend very knowledgeable in the area of fine arts, including oriental carpets.

I was completely/100% happy with my dealings with Beckwith Galleries and the tremendous service they provided. Bernie, and his associate, Doug, were a pleasure to deal with and thoroughly knowledgeable and professional in every way.

Bernie came to my home and gave me a very professional assessment of the damage/wear to my four rugs and was very transparent and pragmatic about the extent of the work and restoration he thought was appropriate, which also kept the cleaning and repair work to a reasonable and realistic cost.

He gave me a well/informed estimate on the spot and took the rugs away that very day. I had them back in much less time than I would have expected, given the scope of the work, and they looked tremendous. The rugs are certainly 60, or more, years old - they have been in our household for about 40 years.

After cleaning and restoration they looked beautiful! The colours had been revived, the pile was springier to the step and the worn edges and fringes were all safely stitched and repaired to ensure no further deterioration.

In addition, Doug also came home and did an excellent/virtually-invisible on-site repair to the border of another rug (which, given its size, was not practical to take out). I am very grateful for Bernie and Doug’s timely and professional service and cannot recommend their work more highly.
