Bernie Teklenburg takes very good care of his customers. Having a wide range of carpets in a variety of styles and sizes (but of consistently high quality), he is willing to take the time to make sure that a client gets not just any carpet, but the *right* carpet for their space and aesthetic.

My husband and I had just completed a home renovation in which fitted carpeting had been replaced by wood flooring. We wanted to purchase good quality rugs to complete this project. We searched on-line for companies in Ottawa and found the Beckwith Galleries' site very informative, including photos of rugs that appealed to our taste. It was easy to set up an appointment to go to the showroom and we found the range of rugs were of good quality, and as advertised.
The owner, Bernie Teklenburg, was very knowledgeable, took plenty of time to make himself acquainted with our our home (we took photos along with us) our tastes and our budget. He was able to work with us to narrow down options and, most important of all, offered to bring a selection to our home so that we could see how they would look. Bernie was extremely helpful when we chose our living room carpet. He took initiative by bringing a series of carpets to the house, let us "live with" the carpet for a week to see if we liked it and then assisted with the installation - including placing the underpad.
The carpet has added a lot to our room and helped us pick a wall colour which really works well. We had our first large party with the "new" living room recently and everyone commented on how nice it looked. I would certainly go to Beckwith Galleries again if we need another carpet.
